Dr. Weisleder to speak to Dayton support group May 22
Dr. Pedro Weisleder, new neurologist on the staff of Dayton Children’s Hospital, is to speak at the May 22 meeting of the Dayton-area support group of the TSA of Ohio. Dr. Weisleder is medical director of the department of pediatric neurology at Dayton Children's and associate professor of pediatrics at Wright State University’s Boonshoft School of Medicine.The support group meeting will be at 7 p.m. May 22 at Centerville United Methodist Church, 63 Franklin St., Centerville OH 45459. In getting help for the challenges that Tourette Syndrome presents, nothing beats the face-to-face payoffs of speaking to others who have “lived our lives,” rather than talking with doctors who, although knowledgeable about the medical aspects of TS, have secondhand knowledge of what it’s like living with the disorder.
