TSA Ohio adults plan camp adventure of their own

Why should the kids have all the camping fun? A few adults in the TSA of Ohio are planning a get-together at Mohican State Park this summer.

The plan is simply to meet up for a day and hang out and do whatever. Mohican, which is fairly centrally located between Columbus and Akron, has lots to do. Check out its website: http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/tabid/769/default.aspx

So, we hope that a group of adult TS-ers can meet up for a day later in the summer of 2008.It has been decided that these are the rules we'll have to work with:
1. Because it will be informal and unofficial, and not sponsored by the TSAO, we're planning for it to be just for a day for this first time, just to see how it goes. If it works well, we can expand it for 2009.
2. Everyone is on their own for all expenses, including fees, transportation to and from, and lodging.
3. To avoid having it conflict too closely with the kids’ Adventure Weekend, we won’t have it in June; nor will we have it near the Fourth of July or Labor Day holidays; and we want to avoid conflicting with school resuming in August. So, the date will be Saturday, July 26 – unless there is an overwhelming preference instead for Sunday, July 27; Sunday, August 3; or the weekend of August 9-10.

This unofficial but outstanding hangout opportunity is being organized by Bruce Holtgren. Please e-mail him at mailto:bruceholtgren@yahoo.com if you’d like to come. The sooner we start talking about details, the better of an event this will turn out to be. Hope to see you there!
