Dave & Buster's outing returning!
After last January's enormously popular and successful outing to Dave & Buster's in Southwestern Ohio, we've decided to do it again this year. We haven't nailed down the date for sure, but watch this space -- and our Facebook page -- for the details. It will almost certainly be a Saturday afternoon/evening in mid-January. Kids all over the area and their parents won't want to miss out!
Support group for Greater Cincinnati
After much too long without one, interest has been expressed at having another go at forming a support group for families in the Cincinnati area. Just one problem ... we need a leader! Would anyone be willing to step forward to coordinate meetings once a month? We have no shortage of places to meet, and we have a list of more than 100 people in the area who would probably have an interest in attending, at least at the outset. If you're interested in stepping forward to lead such an important group, contact Monica Grabel at our state headquarters in Amberley Village at admin@tsaohio.org, or 800-543-2675. (In the Cincinnati area, call 513-531-1795.) Monica can give you that list of 100 names in a jiffy! Thanks to Community Health Charities donors
The following people have generously donated to the Tourette Syndrome Association of Ohio through their paycheck at work through Community Health Charities of Ohio. These are contributors from the 2008 yearly campaign, and the checks were distributed in April of 2009. We greatly appreciate these generous givers!

The TSAO is growing forward!
We have a new set of officers on our latest board of directors, and we are re-committing to ensure that all TS families in Ohio get the best of our many services. Watch this space for introductions to all the new folks! You can still reach us through our main phone line: (800) 543-2675, or via e-mail at admin@tsaohio.org. We also have a new P.O. Box address! It is P.O. Box 37203, Cincinnati OH 45222. Note, however, that mail sent to the old P.O. Box will be forwarded indefinitely.
Online Tourette Syndrome Surveys
Dr. Douglas Woods and colleagues from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, along with several members from our national TSA Medical Advisory Board, have embarked on an important and extensive data collecting project designed to gather information about the impact of tics on the lives of children with Tourette Syndrome (TS) and Chronic Tic Disorders. If we succeed in having as many people as possible participating, responses to this very worthwhile project will allow TSA and the treating community to learn much more about a very broad range of issues relevant to having and coping with TS. Undoubtedly, this information will help us better serve our TS community’s needs.
Internet based, the survey responses are submitted anonymously, and strict confidentiality is assured. Only parents/legal guardians (over 18) who reside in the U.S. are eligible to participate. The survey consists of a parent (legal guardian) portion and a child portion, which each take about 45 minutes to complete (total time 90 minutes). Only children between the ages of 10-17 will be asked to fill out the child section. For children younger than 10, only the parent portion needs to be completed
If you would like to participate please fill out the survey connected to the following link:

This survey is in addition to the adult survey which is on-going and can be accessed at:

Both surveys can also be accessed from national TSA’s homepage at www.tsa-usa.org Additional information about this research and informed consent can be obtained via these links.
Please consider participating in this worthwhile survey!!
Sponsor an adventurer!
You can help make a summer so much more special for a young person with TS by sponsoring him or her so Adventure Weekend is affordable for them, when because of meds or other costs, it might not be.
